Kolios Winery: On the Way to Holy Monastery of Chrysorogiatissa

You will find the Kolios Winery on the road to the Panagia Chrysorogiatissa Monastery. It is a traditional building made of local stone, reflecting owner’s Marios Kolios passion for tradition and values. The winery started in 1999 with a modest production of about 70000 bottles and now manages circa 400000 bottles annually.

Kolios Winery is a favorite destination for connoisseurs and casual tourists alike, as it offers a friendly, homey atmosphere where guests can enjoy signature house wines, paired with homemade mezze cooked by Marios’s wife. The kitchen is large, professionally equipped. There’s a wine cellar in the basement with a bottling facility. The vineyards are not far from the winery and offer beautiful views over the valley of the Ezousa River. You can find their wines in many shops around the island, but the prices are unbeatable when you buy directly from Kolios Winery.

Some of Kolios Winery’s most celebrated wines include the Persefoni Xynisteri 2016 White, which is a gold awarded white dry wine at the 10th Cyprus wine competition; and the Kolios, Shiraz/Merlot blend 2010, which was awarded gold for red dry wine at the same contest, to mention only the most recent accolades.
